Time to PONY UP!

  Pictured here is young Lisa Ponyluck on our new arrival-Babybird a Gotland pony.   Meet our newest stable family member ~Baby-bird~! Like most of our stable animals, Baby is a rescue. She came to us from another stable where she was saved from a kill-pen. She is a little Gotland pony.    More information about this breed here: Cultivated on the Swedish island of Gotland since pre-historic times, the breed is one of the most direct links we have to the ancient wild horses that once covered Europe. Herds of these Skogruss, or ‘little forest horses,’ roamed free on the island for centuries. Even today, a feral herd of these hearty ponies roams protected on the south or the island. The Gotland Pony is a sturdy breed, adept at living off the land, with a heritage as a steadfast work horse.
